QG Architectural Aluminium
Specialists is a small enterprise specialising in the design,
manufacture and installation of purpose made aluminium glazing systems
used in the construction of buildings.
The Company considers environmental management an integral and
fundamental part of its strategy. The Managing Director will
represent environmental issues.
The Company will take all necessary steps to comply with U.K.
environmental legislation and regulations, and other standards
affecting the Company’s activities. Using the principle of
continual improvement, the Company is committed to the prevention of
pollution.
The Company will ensure that in order to demonstrate continual
improvement, mechanisms are established to set and review
environmental objectives and targets which will include: -
· The efficient use of
all raw materials, supplies, energy and transport. Wherever possible,
the principles of sustainable development will be adopted.
· Preventing, reducing
or controlling where practicable, emissions to all environmental
media.
· The minimisation of
waste from all parts of the Company’s operations. Wherever
possible, waste materials will be reprocessed or recyled.
In addition, the Company
will expect similar environmental standards from suppliers, vendors,
and contractors involved with the Company.
The Company will endeavour
to ensure that necessary resources will be provided in areas of
operational control to raise awareness, encourage participation, and
train employees in environmental matters to enable those with
specific duties to effectively discharge their responsibilities.
The Company will seek to
develop the active co-operation and input of all stakeholders within
the Environmental Management System in respect of concerns about the
hazards and impacts of the Company’s operations. The Company
will ensure that a copy of this policy will be available to suppliers,
customers and members of the public.
This policy, its underlying
procedures and the effectiveness of its implementation will be
monitored and reviewed by the Environmental Management Action Group
and Company Directors, and the objectives and targets will be
updated, as necessary and at least annually.
